life at the treehouse
take a look alongside my environmental studies internship: 3 months in mwanza, tanzania, (africa) working with crwrc and king's university college, living at streetwise-africa's 'treehouse'. a project with buhumbi village's growth monitoring health program and doing participatory research to investigate relations between child health and village harvest/rainfall/sickness over the past 10 years.

I love the world around me- esp. the outdoors!- and want to experience so many things and places. I have a heart for those living in poverty/hunger and sickness. I hope that as a Christian I can learn to be a living example of the realization that God created this world to be enjoyed by all and to glorify Him... attempting to live in a way that is sustainable and joyful. hmm, lets see how that goes:)

Lindsay - congrats on making it thus far! Along with Sarah's blog, I will be an avid reader of yours! You in Tanzania, Sarah in Kenya, me Japan - craziness. I think we can remember each other as we will probably experience culture shock or perhaps times of homesickness at some point or another. Sounds like things are going well. Thinking of you friend. Take it one day at a time, that has been my advice to myself lately.
